This month TGIA finished the second semester of our after school program. Our girls have grown so much in this short time we have spent with them. Take a look at some of our accomplishments and enrichment opportunities this semester.

Our fiscal year is from July until June. We are excited too announce that we have raised over $4,000 dollars during this year. It’s not too late to get in on all the action. If you are interested in donating to our program please click here.

Venture Leadership at UNC

This month TGIA partner with Venture Outdoor Leadership for our enrichment activity. Venture provides various team building challenges for groups of all types as well as corporate, community, and youth groups. This program was catered to our specific needs, goals, and objectives. TGIA participants were able to implement team building strategies they learned through TGIA’s character development curriculum.

Ericka Chaves

Erika has served as a volunteer on TGIA’s board of directors for 8 months. She has held leadership Marketing Technology and Operations positions for the past 20+ years in the financial, scientific, and communications sectors. She is a process engineering, data management, and analytics expert. The Founder and CEO of a marketing technology consultancy firm, Erika thrives in bringing people and technology together by helping companies better engage with their customers, thus improving their ROI. With her husband and 2 daughters, Erika has been advocating for children diversity, acceptance, and advancement for the past several years by helping non-profits raise awareness and education in this fast changing technological world.
